I am moving to Wordpress. The move comes for no particular reason; perhaps the reason for the move is the move itself.

Exporting everything from here to Wordpress was really nifty except having to put up with the agony of having to invent titles for the sixty odd old posts from here (and being terribly unimaginative at it!). I couldn't find a template in Wordpress that looks half decent without having to give every post a title but for now I am not complaining, I think I like the new look.

Anyway, this is where I've moved to:

An idiot's guide on how to make an idiot look good; even if for a fleeting second. #1, #2, #3. Effing jackasses, both. Such fun!

Yay, we won!

PS: What's it with the flying stumps these days? We surely haven't gotten any faster, so are they putting in those stumps a little less firmer than usual just for the added dramatics? Or is my mind lying to me again? Would be a neat trick though. I like those wickets flying.

Particularly brilliant research, this. Tomorrow, we confirm gravity.

गाव में साबुन बेच रहा है, झूट है उसका हासना
गंद पे पद गयी लात तो क्या है, बनेगा नया महल

Golden words. Couldn't have been spoken sung better.

[Note to all the unfortunate people who tried to teach me Hindi: I still can't spell. But this time you can't blame me. Blogger transliteration did it.]

Disturbed childhood. No, there is no other plausible explanation. Not even the nobody-liked-me-at-school routine.

Couple of wonderful, short pieces of poetry that I chanced upon and don't want to lose.

The Eclipse

I stood out in the open cold
To see the essence of the eclipse
Which was its perfect darkness.
I stood in the cold on the porch
And could not think of anything so perfect
As mans hope of light in the face of darkness.

-Richard Eberhart

The Crystal Gazer

I shall gather myself into my self again,
I shall take my scattered selves and make them one.
I shall fuse them into a polished crystal ball
Where I can see the moon and the flashing sun.
I shall sit like a sibyl, hour after hour intent.
Watching the future come and the present go -
And the little shifting pictures of people rushing
In tiny self-importance to and fro.

-Sara Teasdale
The cheesiest of photographs involves a Desi, an American flag and the posture of attention. Yes, they do, and you can't beat that.
